Meta Messaging Data Deletion Policy (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger & WhatsApp)


Applies to: Facebook Login, Instagram Basic Display/API, Messenger API, WhatsApp Business (Cloud/On-Premise) integrations used by Alabrish Technologies on alabrishtechnologies.in

1) Who We Are

Alabrish Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website alabrishtechnologies.in and related services and integrations with Meta products (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp). We act as an independent controller of personal data we collect through our own properties and as a processor where we process personal data on behalf of our business customers.

2) What This Page Covers

This page provides the required Data Deletion Instructions for users who interact with us through Meta technologies and explains:

  • What “Meta messaging data” we receive and process

  • How long we keep it

  • How you can request deletion

  • What happens after we delete

  • How to revoke our access on Meta’s side

This page is publicly accessible and intended to satisfy Meta’s platform policy requirements for data deletion instructions.

3) Data We Receive From Meta Products

Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive the following from Meta products:

  • Facebook / Instagram (including Login & APIs):
    Name, profile ID, profile picture URL, email, public profile fields you grant to us, access tokens, permissions granted, Instagram user ID, username, media IDs/URLs/metadata you explicitly share with us, and messaging metadata (sender/recipient IDs, timestamps, delivery/read status).

  • Messenger:
    Page-scoped user ID, message content you send to us, attachments (images, audio, video, files), quick-reply payloads, postback data, timestamps, delivery/read receipts.

  • WhatsApp Business:
    WhatsApp phone number, display name, message content you send to us, templates used, message IDs, timestamps, delivery/read receipts, and optional media you share (images, audio, video, files, contacts, location).

We do not receive your Meta password. We only receive data that you share or grant via permissions, messages, or interactions with our pages, apps, or numbers.

4) Why We Process This Data

We process Meta messaging data to:

  • Provide customer support and respond to your messages

  • Fulfill services you request (e.g., quotes, demos, orders, troubleshooting)

  • Verify identity and manage sessions/tokens you authorize

  • Improve service quality, security, and anti-abuse/fraud monitoring

  • Comply with legal obligations, requests from authorities, and platform policies

5) Retention & Deletion Schedules

We retain Meta messaging data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Unless a longer period is legally required or permitted, we apply the following maximum retention periods:

  • Active Conversations (open support/sales threads): up to 180 days from last user interaction

  • Closed Conversations / Tickets: up to 90 days after closure

  • Access tokens & permissions: kept only while needed to provide the service; revoked or purged within 30 days after disengagement or permission revocation

  • Webhook/application logs (security & troubleshooting): up to 30 days

  • Backups: encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days after the source is deleted, then are overwritten on schedule

  • Legal holds / compliance records: retained as required by law (e.g., fraud prevention, defense of legal claims, tax/audit)

When the applicable period expires, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the data.

6) How to Request Deletion

You may request deletion of your Meta messaging data that we control at any time using any of these channels:

  1. Email (Preferred)
    Send an email to privacy@alabrishtechnologies.in with subject line: “Meta Data Deletion Request”.
    Include: your full name, your country/region, the Meta product used (Facebook/Instagram/Messenger/WhatsApp), and the identifier we can use to locate your records (e.g., the phone number used on WhatsApp, your Instagram @handle, your Facebook profile URL, or the message thread link/ID if available).

  2. From the Messaging Thread

    • WhatsApp: send the phrase “DELETE MY DATA” in the chat with our official business account.

    • Messenger / Instagram DMs: send the phrase “DELETE MY DATA” to our Page/Account.

If you used Facebook Login or Instagram Login with our services, you may also revoke our access directly in your Meta account (see Section 9). Please still submit a deletion request if you want us to remove data already stored on our systems.

7) Identity Verification

To protect privacy, we may need to verify your identity and confirm account ownership before we act on a deletion request. Verification may include confirming a one-time code, replying from the same messaging thread, or matching Meta identifiers you provide (e.g., WhatsApp number, Instagram @handle, Page-scoped ID).

If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on someone’s behalf, we may require proof of authorization and identity.

8) What We Delete (Scope)

Upon a valid deletion request and successful verification, we will:

  • Remove message content and associated metadata from our production systems for the identified conversation(s)/account(s)

  • Revoke or invalidate related access tokens/permissions

  • Delete or anonymize data in analytics and search indexes where feasible

  • Notify relevant sub-processors (if any are used for messaging infrastructure, storage, or analytics) to delete corresponding data

  • Exclude the deleted data from future processing and from any training of models we control (if applicable)

What may not be deleted:

  • Data we must keep to comply with law, to detect/prevent fraud or abuse, or to resolve disputes (retained only as long as necessary and segregated where feasible)

  • Data already stored by Meta platforms themselves (see Section 9 to manage on Meta’s side)

  • Data contained in encrypted backups until those backups cycle out (see Section 5)

9) How to Revoke Our Access on Meta

In addition to contacting us, you can revoke app/page access on Meta’s side to stop further data sharing:

  • Facebook (including Login permissions)
    Facebook App & Website Settings → “Log in with Facebook” → find Alabrish Technologies → Remove.

  • Instagram
    Instagram → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → find Alabrish Technologies → Remove.

  • Messenger
    Open the conversation with our Page → tap profile/name → Privacy & support → Block or Delete chat (deletes the thread from your device/account; contact us for server-side deletion).

  • WhatsApp
    Open the chat with our official business account → More → Report/Block if desired and/or Clear chat (removes on your device; contact us for server-side deletion).

Revoking access prevents future data sharing. To remove data already stored on our systems, please submit a deletion request as described in Section 6.

10) Response Times

  • We acknowledge requests within 7 days.

  • We complete validated deletions within 30 days of verification, unless a longer period is necessary or permitted by law (we’ll inform you if so).

  • If your request is complex or involves multiple systems/sub-processors, we may complete deletion in staged steps but within the timeframe above.

11) Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (e.g., access, correction, deletion/erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent). You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@alabrishtechnologies.in. We will not discriminate against you for exercising legal rights.

12) Children’s Data

Our services are not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us data via Meta messaging, contact privacy@alabrishtechnologies.in and we will promptly delete it.

13) Sub-Processors & International Transfers

We may use reputable cloud hosting, storage, and analytics providers to process data on our behalf under contracts that require privacy and security safeguards. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (e.g., contractual clauses) and implement reasonable technical and organizational measures.

14) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including encryption in transit, restricted access, logging/monitoring, and periodic reviews.

15) Changes to These Instructions

We may update this page to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be dated at the top. Continued use of our services after changes indicates your acknowledgment.
